Know me

Know me
just know me
don’t walk
don’t talk
just know me

Be
just be
with me
don’t go away
just stay

And touch me
through the shield
of my frightened skin

And soften
every cell and vessel
hidden in the dark corners
of my shivering body.

And stay
just stay
don’t walk
don’t talk
just stay.
